Most kids would rather play with their child stuff, watch cartoons, or just goof around with their peers. This girl named Isabel Sieh from Antipolo City, Philippines however, is different — at age 10 she started teaching herself how to code.“When I was around 10 years old, my teacher noticed that I really love math so he suggested that I start coding. He showed me this website called Code Academy,” Isabel Sieh said.

At a young age, she started learning basic HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and JavaScript through online classes. HTML is the most basic foundation of a webpage and is used for developing and visually creating a webpage, while Javascript is a programming language that programs the behavior of webpages and brings websites to life.

However, Isabel felt limited on what she learned online. So when her supportive mom found about Isabel’s passion for coding, she got her tutors to enhance her skills.
