A man and a woman posing as Con Ed workers stole $70,000 from a Queens home last Wednesday afternoon.An unsuspecting 78-year-old man let the “workers” into his Ridgewood home after they said they needed to check the fuse box, police said.The man went to his basement with the pair, where they checked the fuse box and plugged a light into a receptacle.They told the man to wait for the light to change. As he waited with the female suspect, the male suspect went upstairs and removed $70,000 from the victim’s dresser. They fled the scene afterwards.
