A 3-week-old infant,Carlina was taken to a hospital in August 1987 for treatment of a fever by her mother. Carlina was separated from her mother to receive nourishment through an IV and during that time, a woman dressed in a nurse’s uniform snuck into the hospital.
The woman removed the IV from Carlina’s arm, kidnapped her and took her miles away from her family. Carlina was gone and, for 23 years, Joy and her husband Carl would pray for their daughter to come back. Despite having a $10,000 award offered for Carlina’s safe return, there was no word until 23 years later when their hope paid.!
