“Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo has starred in scores of feature films, including the 2014 hit “God’s Not Dead,” and now he and his wife, Sam Sorbo, have teamed up with TV and radio personality Sean Hannity for a new faith-based project: “Let There Be Light.”
Sam Sorbo recently told Faithwire during a sit down interview that the feature film, which is set to come out later this year, is about “the world’s greatest atheist,” who “has a near death experience and comes back with a new view on life.”
It’s a movie that she said will leave audiences wanting to laugh, cry and stand up and cheer. And when asked if she believes the film will cause atheists to question their nonbelief, Sorbo was candid.
“An atheist has a stronger belief than most Christians, so to shake that belief in the absence of God … as much as I would love to do that, it’s not for me to do; it’s not for us to do. That’s the work of the holy spirit,” she said. “Agnostics, however, need to be convinced, and the fact is we face evil ideologies in this world and you cannot beat an ideology of evil without an ideology of good.”
Sorbo continued, “We’re going to have to choose sides. We’re called to choose sides. And this is a movie that sort of brings that to the front.”
