The consumption of processed meats has been scientifically shown to lead to various severe health issues and a great number of childhood cancers.
The National Cancer Institute claims that more than 1,500 children In America die annually from childhood cancer.
An L.A. Times article reported that:
“Children who eat more than 12 hot dogs per month have nine times the normal risk of developing childhood leukemia, a USC epidemiologist has reported in a cancer research journal.
Two other reports in the same issue of Cancer Causes and Control suggest that children born to mothers who eat at least one hot dog per week during pregnancy have double the normal risk of developing brain tumors, as do children whose fathers ate hot dogs before conception.”
The chemical additives in hot dogs are extremely harmful as they endanger the health and cause various different diseases, including cancer.
This is a list of the ingredients of Oscar Meyer hot dogs:

According to Denise Snyder, MS, RD, CSO, LDN, a Duke nutrition researcher with an emphasis in cancer survivorship, hot dogs are extremely dangerous, even if consumed moderately.
She mentions the findings of a research which showed that the daily consumption of 3.5 ounces of processed meat (or 24.5 ounces per week) raises the risk of colorectal cancer by 36 percent if compared to people who do not consume processed meats.
