Greta was just 15 years old when she was diagnosed with leukemia after going to the hospital for a sore throat. She needed to have a bone marrow transplant but Greta couldn’t find a bone marrow match since there wasn’t a match in the family.
Doctors looked for a donor and later found a match in army veteran Danny Daniels who 10 years before, had donated his bone marrow to help save a fellow soldier. When interviewed, Danny said;
“As soon as I found out she was 15. How can you not give a young person a match?” Danny said. That was 10 years ago now; Greta survived and today she is 25. To honor Danny’s life-saving gesture, she invited him to her wedding for a special dance to the song, “Angels Among Us,”. Watch how this veteran was honoured by this.!
