Little Anaya Ellick recently won a national handwriting contest. Well, that is impressive for any 7-year-old, but even more impressive because this inspirational little girl was born with no hands and she does not use prosthetics for help.
Anaya was born with stubs where most people’s wrists begin. When she writes, the first grader holds a pencil between her arms, she weaved it across the page, producing perfectly neat letters. Anaya was one of two students who won the 25th-year Nicholas Maxim Special Award for Excellence in Manuscript Penmanship. WOW!
